Dear friends, followers and fans,
I’m James, co-founder of Big Drop. If there were ever a time for a clear head, this is more than likely one of them.
There’s a lot of information flying around at the moment, and I thought it would be a good time to update you on what we’re doing at Big Drop during this unprecedented time for both our industry and society.
We’re keeping a close eye on official advice, and we’re doing everything we can to keep our team looked-after while also trying to keep the beer flowing.
Trade and Consumer Shows
For trade and consumer shows, we’re taking advice from the organisers and for the time being, these will be on hold until further notice. (If you’ve booked a ticket for our BrewDog tap takeover, check your inbox for more information).
Pubs, bars and restaurants
The government advice to avoid pubs, bars and restaurants is understandable but disappointing nevertheless. We’re working with our on-trade partners to make sure they’re kept up-to-date on our plans. Please do check in with your local restaurant to see if they’re doing a special takeaway/delivery service.
Shops and supermarkets
For the moment, our supply to retail is unaffected, but we’ll update you as soon as anything changes. If your local craft beer shop stock us, head in there and pick up your bottles or cans, support local wherever you can at this time.
We’re currently putting some plans in place should any regular online retailers become disrupted. More news on that soon.
You and yours
Take care of yourselves: if you find yourself isolated stay in touch with loved ones and friends online.
If there’s an elderly resident near you, find a way to help them without direct contact: food parcels or a chat over the phone can go a long way to giving someone a little company.
I’d want to thank you all for your support at this time. Look after yourselves and try to find little ways to Live Big.
