The Big Drop Shop
We’ve sold the equivalent of 10,000 pints of beer on our brand new online shop – thank you to everyone who has supported us during this rather strange time.
As a thank you, throughout May use ‘SOFASOCIAL’ code for 10% off our shop (one order per person).
We are continuing to offer a discount to NHS staff and frontline workers – if this is you or any of your family, please drop us an email as we would love to do our bit.
Plus, we’ve expanded our offer with bottles, so it’s a good job we stock bottle openers, too.
International News
Switzerland: We’re making movements in Switzerland with Wittich as our new distributor!
Sweden: Manthem, one of Sweden’s largest online grocery stores, now list our Galactic Milk Stout and Pine Trail Pale Ale.
Netherlands: We secured our Pine Trail Pale Ale at HEMA. HEMA is the largest department store chain in The Netherlands. This is a great achievement and our first step into this leading national chain!
Get a Big Drop with your Nandos!
We’ve been clucking about this news for a while, our Pine Trail Pale Ale is the new alcohol-free listing in Nandos nationwide. But for right now, you’ll have to see if Nandos is delivering in your local area for a chance to have a Big Drop with your chicken.
We’ve created a host of Virtual Pub Experiences
Tuesday was our sixth Living Room Pub Quiz; we’ve had a combined total of 50k views – who’d have thought James’ cabin would be our weekly hotspot of 2020!
Our Living Room Pub Gig every Sunday gives us a chance to forget about the outside world and have a singalong to established and emerging artists. Today at 4pm, Russell Swallow is taking the hot seat, so don’t miss it.
Pop your apron on with beer expert, Melissa Cole
Thursday, we launched a lockdown cooking series with Melissa Cole. Every other week, Melissa will be cooking adaptations from her book The Beer Kitchen incorporating our beers. Ingredients will be shared a week before – plenty of time to order in or pop to your local supermarket.
But that’s not all – Jack from Fallow has knocked us up Nduja Creamed Mussels and Clams using our Paradiso Citra IPA. Jack and the team are crowdfunding at the moment too, so please take the time to look at their pitch.
And, I thought I’d take this opportunity to expand my culinary horizons, with beer-battered vegan tacos using Uptown Craft Lager. They were pretty delicious!
Living Big This Month
The Big Drop guard dog, McCoist has been working around the clock to make sure everyone’s beers are safe and for that, we are very grateful.
